Concrete Carpenter

Carpenter (Concrete Formwork) Duties

• Leads by example and promotes a safe accident-free work environment
• Thinks ahead and plans for success
• Maintains proper levels of materials as required
• Schedules self and maximizes productivity to meet job budgets
• Maintains good housekeeping in areas of responsibility
• Construct and set formwork for concrete foundations, stem walls, and other misc. concrete structures
• Operates miscellaneous equipment such as concrete trowels and power tools such as circular saws, drills, concrete vibrator and chipping hammers, etc..
• Wrecks concrete forms.
• Places and finishes concrete in walls and flatwork.
• Sets and aligns anchor bolts.
• Ties reinforcing steel (rebar).
• Preforms work in accordance with industry and company standards.

Carpenter (Concrete Formwork) Requirements

• Must be a motivated team player with a high sense of urgency and ownership
• Can prioritize work and manage themselves with minimal direction
• Ability to read detailed blueprints and produce formwork from them
• Ability to build formwork from sketches and verbal instructions
• 3-5 years of proven experience in carpentry associated with the concrete work
• Experience utilizing Doka and Simons formwork systems is a plus
