Computer Vision Intern

Location: Gaithersburg, MD

We are seeking graduate students pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Math, Bioinformatics, Quantitative Biology, Physics, Pharmacology, or Bioinformatics for a 10-12 week internship during the summer of 2024.

Objectives/Goals of the Position:

• Collaborate and work with data scientists and stakeholders from AZ to develop innovative Machine Learning and Deep learning models to unlock novel insights from medical imaging.
• Work on diverse challenges such as multi-instance learning, self-supervised learning, multi-modality combination, medical segmentation and so on.

Primary Duties:

• Develop imaging data science solutions using Computer Vision and machine learning techniques for multiple therapeutic areas
• Train state-of-the-art large language Computer Vision models.
• Communicate results clearly and objectively, as well as associated uncertainties and limitations within agreed frameworks.
• Develop, implement and document required code and algorithms in a manner that meets AstraZeneca's best practice requirements.
• Participate in any academic paper that might arise from the work.
• Learn about cutting-edge machine learning and deep learning technology and it's application in pharmaceutical
