Computer Technician (Entry Level)

Overview:
This is an Entry Level or Lightly Experienced position. We are seeking a person who is customer service-oriented and who loves to learn. Candidate needs either education and/or natural ability in diagnosing computer problems and fixing computers. If hired, you will work closely with other technicians. You will receive training as needed. All tools, hardware, and software needed for the position is supplied by the company.

The job entails meeting the public, either at the front counter or onsite at the customer's business. Thus, customer service is a huge component of success for this position. The ability to handle payments, make change, process credit cards, etc. is required. The ability to multi-task is necessary. Good communication skills, writing, verbal, and typed are needed. Good time management skills are needed. You must be able to use a keyboard effectively.

Basic computer repair skills are required. Additional pluses are Microsoft 365 usage and installation experience and server/network experience. You need to be able to carry computers and servers, climb ladders, and go into tight spaces without difficulty.

Many of our techs started out in this position and some have quickly rose to more responsible technical roles in the company. If you learn well, you can do well.

We are interested in hiring a person who is local to Dunn NC or within a comfortable commute to Dunn. We do not offer any relocation benefits. If you are outside a commute radius of Dunn and want to be considered, please stipulate in your response you are willing to move to the area. This is not a Remote position.

The hourly rate for this position is $8 to $15, depending on experience and education. The position requires signing a non-compete/non-disclosure agreement. We have a 90-day probationary period for new hires.
