BACKGROUND
The mission of the United States Attorney's Office (USAO), District of Minnesota (DMN), is to
prosecute and defend cases on behalf of the federal government.
B. SCOPE OF WORK
The USAO DMN is soliciting GSA Scheduled contractors for one (1) Computer Support Technician position. This position is responsible for providing technical assistance which supports the information management needs of the USAO DMN. Assignments encompass IT Systems/Network Administration.
The work requires a specialized knowledge of the processes, procedures, and practices as described in Section C of this solicitation.
The Period of Performance is one base year with two (2) one-year option periods. Overtime and travel may be authorized as needed, only with prior approval from the Contracting Officer and the Contractor / Vendor.
C. TASKS/REQUIREMENTS OF THE TASK ORDER
C.1 The contractor shall provide one (1) Computer Support Technician. This position is 40 hours per week for the USAO DMN in accordance with the terms, conditions, and Statement of Work (SOW) set forth within. Office hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
C.2 Performance Duties:
Pursuant to the policies, procedures, goals, and objectives established by the USAO DMN, the contractor performs the following duties on a regular and recurring basis under the close direction of the IT Systems Manager and the Specialist:
1. Requires testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, implementation, maintenance and management of networked systems used for the transmission of information in data, voice and/or video format; ensuring systems availability, functionality, integrity, and efficiency.
2. Ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data through the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of information systems security programs, policies, procedures and tools.
3. Provides customer support service including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, customer assistance, and training in response to user requirements.
The office Information Technology (IT) environment includes desktop and laptop computers, a local area network, Microsoft SQL Server and web-based applications, hand-held and wireless technology, along with case management and litigation support systems.
1. Contractor would provide IT customer support, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, customer assistance, inventory management and/or training.
2. Assist the IT Systems Management staff in the configuration, installation, and maintenance of networked systems.
3. Performs assignments related to ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, security and availability of systems, networks and data; performs routine assignments in support of the Office intranet and internet sites, including converting content into workable web pages, checking links, repairing errors, etc.
4. Assist in the planning, development and coordination of litigation support and case management service.
Required Knowledge:
Incumbent should have the knowledge of the principles, methods, and practices for integrating information system components sufficient to plan, coordinate, and administer computer systems, and optimize system performance, knowledge of the latest advancements in technology to initiate corrective or preventative action to ensure optimum performance of the system.
Knowledge of performance tuning tools, database management, and project management methods sufficient to optimize systems performance, troubleshoot database performance problems, and perform a wide range of systems administration functions.
Knowledge of operating systems, associated devices, and the interoperability of systems sufficient to install, upgrade, troubleshoot, test, and maintain those systems; to optimize the functionality and performance of systems; and to ensure the availability, integrity, efficiency, and reliability of servers.
Ability to apply methods and practices for troubleshooting, recovering, adjusting, modifying, and improving systems to solve complex problems and provide support that minimizes interruptions in service to customers.

Successfully completed post-high school education may be used to meet the total one year of
specialized experience requirement. 11 Certifications (if required) 12 Documentation Required for submission The Contractor shall discuss the qualifications and experience of ALL personnel
proposed for this task order. The Contractor shall note any existing security clearances for the
proposed personnel, and/or any active DOJ background investigations or clearances. The
clearance level will be based on the requirements of the task order. For those personnel
designated, the contractor shall provide a resume for each individual. There is a maximum of
three (3) proposed key personnel. The resume shall clearly describe the individual's knowledge,
certifications, and work experiences as well as any relevant references. Resumes shall include
the employers name, address, and telephone number. Place and period of performance as well as
description of work performed and responsibilities. It is preferred that proposed personnel
signed confirmation of interest letter accompany each resume. Resumes are not to exceed two
(2) pages in length.
