POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced mobile developer to collaborate with internal and external teams to develop functional Mobile Applications while working in a fast-paced environment. Candidate will work remotely for the time being and may have some onsite meetings in the Houston, TX area. The candidate should have a passion for new technology, while at the same time able to understand the needs of our customers and how emerging technology can improve the customer experience.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with client to prepare and program various projects related to the latest Mobile technologies
  • Deliver across the entire app life cycle from concept, design, build, deploy, test, release to app stores and support
  • Quickly integrate and update projects
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing project tasks on schedule and by interacting with other developers
  • Provide technical insight on existing mobile platforms to improve performance, availability and utilization optimizations
  • Prepare projects for hand-off and deployments as “proof concepts” move to production

 

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERTISE

  • BA/BS University degree with a concentration in computers
  • Strong knowledge of iPhone & Android frameworks. Deliver state of the art iOS & Android mobile experiences across the different functions
  • Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability and general reliability
  • 1-2+ years of mobile development, native or cross-platform
  • Extensive knowledge of at least one programming language commonly used in Mobile App development, such as Swift, Objective C, Java/Kotlin, C#, or JavaScript
  • Experience with native iOS/Android development
  • Experience with Flutter, React Native or Xamarin.
  • Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
  • Ability to identify opportunities for technical improvements across multiple processes or functional areas, recommend solutions, and advocate for implementation
  • Participate in mentoring and skills transfer to junior members of the team
