We are currently seeking a full-time Computational Researcher scientist lead with expertise in computing, photonics and optics. The candidate will have a track record in utilizing state of the art techniques for the understanding and improvement in performance of complex electromagnetic devices and optical systems. This will be based on a history of developing algorithmic designs using machine learning, topology optimization and shape optimization. Having worked in industry for at least five years and having demonstrated a background in early stage software development and product integration. Having worked on photonic integrated circuits and semiconductor devices would be advantageous. Familiarity with advanced light sources (lasers and LED's), spatial light modulators, diffractive optics, optical materials, and thin film optics would be preferred. Specifically, candidates should have experience in simulation/ modeling of optical systems using techniques such as finite-difference time-domain, finite element methods, and optical ray tracing. Candidates must be comfortable working in a cross-functional team and exhibit excellent interpersonal communication skills are required.
