Composites Technician

At Hydrojet, we specialize in manufacturing composite structures and assemblies for Aerospace, Defense, Space, and various commercial industries. Our top-of-the-line products support military & commercial airplanes, helicopters, UAVs, and more for renowned companies like Boeing, Sikorsky, Lockheed Martin, and SpaceX.

We are seeking individuals adept at working with their hands and with great attention to detail, such as auto-body technicians/mechanics, artisans, sewists, etc... Our working environment is exceptional, with an ISO-class clean room that is climate-controlled and dust-free. As a Composite Technician at Hydrojet, you will work with state-of-the-art composite materials such as carbon fiber, Kevlar, fiberglass, honeycomb core, and more. This is an excellent opportunity to develop new skills and contribute to advanced Aerospace projects.

How you will spend your time as our Layup Technician:

• Perform basic lay-up techniques using pre-preg material
• Use basic hand tools in a safe and efficient manner
• Prepare tooling and mold surfaces for production
• Prepare composite components for curing process by applying proper vacuum bagging methods and procedures
• Ensure parts meet quality standards using inspection tools such as rulers and calipers
• Quality of work meets expectations
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area and comply with all safety regulations
• sharpen/care for company issued scissors
• Complete work orders and customer documentation

You will be successful if you have:

• A high school diploma, or equivalent
• Minimum of six months of work experience or technical training, preferably in manufacturing
• Ability to read and understand manufacturer instructions
• Basic math and measuring skills
• Attention to detail is strongly required for this position
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
• Desire to continuously learn, excel, and refine your skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
