COMPOSITE TECHNICIAN
Job Summary:
HQ Aero is currently recruiting for experienced COMPOSITE TECHNICIANS in Everett, WA.
Responsibilities:
The Composite Technician will be responsible to carry out repairs and/or modify composite structures to conform to mechanical engineering drawings, Structure Repair Manuals and Standard Operating Procedures on aircraft in accordance with the Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR'S). Operates in compliance with company safety practices and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:
  • Airframe License preferred.
  • 3 years of composite repair and modification experience required.
  • Post-secondary education or training in aircraft maintenance or equivalent combination of education, training or experience required.
  • Working knowledge in fabrication of sheet metal and composite components and assemblies, aircraft parts and ground support equipment per engineering drawings, sketches, advance designs, specifications and/or verbal instruction is required.
  • Working knowledge of maintenance manuals, parts catalog, and applicable FAA documents is required.
  • Skills in the use of computer systems, maintenance manuals, documentation systems and the Federal Aviation Regulations are required.
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • Criminal Background Check & Compliant to FAA Drug and Alcohol screening checks are mandatory.

  • Ability to organize and plan work adhering to deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and mathematical skills; ability to read, write, and understand the English language and to follow verbal and written instruction.
  • Ability to interpret and apply technical data relating to the job and position.
  • Ability to safely drive and operate a standard shift automotive vehicle and other applicable equipment
  • Ability to work with or without supervision.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and have good verbal communication skills.
Essential Job Functions
  • Ensure that all work performed is carried out in a safe manner. Directs activities to protect employees from harm and maintain safe working conditions.
  • Physical Demands: The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Good vision and depth perception.
  • Work Environment : FAR Part 145 aircraft maintenance in a hangar and ramp environment.
