TreatmentX is a leading behavioral health organization dedicated to providing compassionate care and support to individuals struggling with mental health and Substance Abuse issues. Our mission is to make a positive impact on the lives of our clients by delivering high-quality services. We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Compliance Specialist. This role offers the flexibility to work remotely; however, candidates based in Southeast Florida will be given preference. Proficiency in Kipu and Avea software is required.
Position Overview: The Compliance Specialist develops organizational strategies by contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction, establishing functional objectives in line with organizational objectives. This position attracts new customers by maintaining state-of-the-art compliance programs, bringing compliance recognition to the company, providing leadership in the industry. The Compliance Specialist is highly adaptable to an ever-changing complex regulatory environment.
Responsibilities:
· Accountable for leading a WE CARE culture that focuses on our mission to provide a transformational influence to patients and their loved ones.
· Ensuring that the Compliance Program can prevent and detect significant instances or patterns of illegal, unethical, or improper conduct by employees, agents, affiliated providers, or others working with the organization.
· Creation and completion of regular risk assessments.
· Implementing and operating retaliation-free reporting channels, including an anonymous telephone reporting system available to all employees, volunteers, and affiliated providers.
· Ensuring that the compliance program has effective mechanisms to reasonably determine that persons either promoted to or hired in management and certain other sensitive and/or responsible positions (to be designated) do not have a propensity to violate federal or state laws and regulations or engage in improper or unethical conduct in their designated areas of responsibility.
· Providing input and/or direction to Human Resources policies and procedures and the performance appraisal and incentive programs to ensure that improper conduct is discouraged and that support of any conformity with the Compliance Program is part of any performance evaluation process for all employees.
· Coordinating, as appropriate, with outside legal counsel, conducting, or authorizing and overseeing investigations of matters that merit investigation under the Compliance Program.
· Presenting periodic and annual reports on the Compliance Program to the Board of Specialists
· Reporting on a regular basis to the Compliance Committee on matters involving the Compliance Program. Additionally, the Compliance Specialist at his/her/their discretion is expected to regularly report issues to the CEO.
· Chairs the Compliance Committee, including developing appropriate agendas, reports and information as directed by the committee.
· Establish, maintain and supplement as necessary a company compliance manual.
· Develop and coordinate, in consultation with Human Resources, appropriate compliance training and education programs for all employees, agents, affiliated providers, or others working with the organization.
· Ensure and understand the company's commitment to comply with all laws, regulations, company policies, and ethical requirements applicable to the conduct of the business.
· Assess the need for additional training and education and develop appropriate compliance programs.
· Develop, coordinate, and/or oversee internal and external audit procedures for the purpose of monitoring and detecting any misconduct or noncompliance.
· If any misconduct or noncompliance is detected, recommend a solution, and follow up to ensure that the recommendations have been implemented.
· Performing other duties as assigned.
· Working with administrative leadership to provide adequate information to staff to ensure that they have the requisite information and knowledge of regulatory issues and requirements to carry out their responsibilities in a lawful and ethical manner
· Tracking all issues referred to the compliance department
· Regularly reviewing the Compliance Program and recommending appropriate revisions and modifications, including advising leadership of potential compliance risk areas

· Must possess strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, coaching skills and can work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
· Sometimes works in an ambiguous environment, must be adaptable to a complex regulatory and dynamic environment.
· Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft products. Experience using various cloud based and on premises software solutions is preferred.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
