PURPOSE:
The primary purpose of this position is to ensure compliance with all aspects of consumer and commercial accounts and loans. Including new and existing account management. Act as the liaison between branch personnel and compliance to ensure accurate account opening processes. Champion the compliance and AML role at Clark County Credit Union.
SUMMARY:
Responsible for maintaining quality control over consumer and commercial accounts and loans, including account opening documentation and management ie. address changes and account maintenance.
Responsible for acting as liaison between branches and compliance, provide guidance on account opening procedures and requirements.
Responsibilities include reviewing processes in place and making suggestions for best practices. Responsible for identifying gaps in the processes and workflows and developing solutions for those deficiencies.
Responsible for analyzing the work of team members and identifying needs for correction and remediation.
Responsible for performing quality control reviews and other quality control activities, including process testing to confirm adherence to regulatory guidance, policies, procedures, and risk management practices.
Responsible for establishing review schedule of accounts to identify possible AML or high risk behavior. Process SAR, CTR, and EDD reviews.
Participate in branch audits and reviews.
Assist with account management in terms of deceased, levy/garnishment, and subpoena processing.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Proficient knowledge of consumer account documentation requirements and products essential.
Thorough knowledge of MIP/CIP, Red Flags, AML
Some experience in audit/quality review design and sampling techniques and methodologies preferred.
1+ years consumer account opening and maintenance experience in a financial institution.
