Job description

The Filing Services Bureau is searching for talented individuals to join our team. Under the close supervision of the Administrator I of the Correspondence, Analysis, Support, and Education Section (CASES), the Compliance Representative performs as a lead in one of Filing Services Bureau Contact Centers. The incumbent provides technical assistance to a team up to 10 Quality Assurance Specialists (QAS). The Quality Assurance Program (QAP) Lead is responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of the work performed by the team. The incumbent serves as a subject matter expert in the development, delivery, and maintenance of technical training and staff development of newly hired and veteran specialists. The Compliance Representative is expected to have an understanding of the section's operational goals and maintain a thorough knowledge of Personal Income Tax (PIT) and Business Entities (BE) laws, and the department's policies and processing procedures. The incumbent must be proficient in FTB tax systems, including but not limited to: Taxpayer Folder (TPF), Case Management (CM), Personal Income Tax (PIT) and Business Entity (BE), Account Receivable Collection System (ARCS), Taxpayer Information (TI), Business Entity Tax System (BETS), and Integrated Non-Filer Compliance ( INC). The QAP lead participates as a team member with peers and others within the section to identify and resolve work-related issues. All duties are performed within the framework of the department's strategic business goals and mission and values. To be eligible for bilingual compensation, the incumbent must use bilingual skills at least 10% daily while performing the essential functions of the job.

Working Conditions
This position is eligible for remote-working within California based on departmental guidelines and operational need. FTB has a minimum in-office requirement of two days per week for all positions including those that are eligible for telework.
