Description

Compliance Consultant

Locations: Grand Prairie, TX and Virginia Beach, VA preferred. Open to other Elevance Health Open Access Office Locations

Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy, providing various levels of flexibility while also ensuring that associates have opportunities to connect in-person. Unless in a designated virtual-eligible role and specified as primarily virtual by the hiring manager, associates are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, and potentially several times per week. Specific requirements and expectations for time onsite will be discussed as part of the hiring process.

The Compliance Consultantis responsible for delivering and executing foundational compliance responsibilities that support the team and management at the advanced level.

How You Will Make an Impact

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Report, communicate, research laws, regulations, requirements, regulatory audits and/or exams.
  • Provide support to various compliance activities including, but not limited to, regulatory audits or exams, internal audits, accreditations, on-site reviews, and risk assessments.
  • Assist in development and/or delivery of training and education.
  • Coordinate, disseminate, respond to and track all State complaints within the organization.
  • Review, approve, and submit member facing material to the State for approval.
  • Track State collateral material submissions.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains compliance desktop procedures, job aides.
  • Track and monitor risks and issues through resolution.
  • Track, review and submit regulatory required filings with the Texas Department of Insurance that may include policy and procedures, contract agreements, etc..
  • May interact with Health Plan leadership to review and evaluate required contractual, state or federal requirements for response and/or filing.
  • Manage through tracking and oversight of the department’s communications mailbox.
  • Review and submit response to State member complaints.
  • Perform other regulatory and compliance duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 3 years health care, regulatory, ethics, compliance or privacy experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
