Overview
Educational Alliance is seeking a highly motivated and capable People and Culture Compliance Associate to join our fast-paced and dynamic HR team. In this role, the People and Culture Compliance Associate is responsible for supporting various programs and processes within the Human Resources department. The ideal candidate is a problem solver, a people lover, a multitasker, a project manager, and a team player who is hungry for a challenge. You will be the first point of contact for many of our candidates, our new hires, our employees when they need help. You will also be working with the team and providing support to team members.
Responsibilities
- Manage the onboarding process for all CSYD Program new hires and volunteers to support a smooth and compliant integration into the organization; ensures all new hires, including inter-company transfers, complete all required onboarding activities timely.
- Perform regular audits of Educational Alliance personnel files; develop checklists, spreadsheets, and other tools to ensure agency is in compliance according to federal, state and city standards.
- Seek new ways to enhance efficiency, identify areas for improvement and advise on the best course of action with program and support departments.
- Assist Compliance Director with research, assessment, and program planning.
- Perform special projects and other related duties as assigned.
- Support HR leadership with projects and HR needs.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in education, Human Resources, Business Management, Psychology or equivalent working experience.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in Human Resources related work, especially with onboarding.
- Background and experience in compliance with DOHMH – SACC, DYCD, ECE
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite
- The successful candidate will have a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team with the skill to balance multiple projects successfully.
- The successful candidate must be detail-oriented and able to multi-task.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with all levels of employees ensuring superior customer service skills.
- Strong administrative skills, including organization, ability to proactively follow up on ongoing projects, and strict attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, to be comfortable fielding difficult questions and working with employees at all levels.
- The ability to exercise sound judgment, make effective decisions in the best interest of the organization, and maintain required confidentiality and discretion is essential.
- This is a high-demand job requiring the skill to assess and prioritize work projects while collaborating with other departments and team members.
