The Civil Rights, Inclusion and Opportunity Department is seeking a self-driven and organized professional with refined skills in oral and verbal communication. The Compliance Analyst will work with the Policy and Compliance Manager on task related to monitoring the City of Detroit's Community Benefits Ordnance, Executive Order 2016-1, Executive Order 2014-5, Employment Plans related to Tax Abatements and all other monitoring requirements of the department mandated by City ordinances.
- Manage and monitor development projects that fall under the purview of the Department
- Reconcile projects, create and manage information in departmental databases
- Performs data analysis, internal and external reporting from entities bound by Executive Order 2016-1, Executive Order 2014-5, Tax Abatements, casino agreements, and the Community Benefits Ordinance
- Assist entities in completion of all documents, plans, reporting, etc. for compliance with applicable authorities
- Build and maintain relationships with other teams and agencies to ensure project requirements are upheld
- Provide innovative and creative ideas to improve current processes
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related discipline preferred, but not required.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted to meet the education and experience requirement of this position.
