Job Summary
The
Compensation Consultant partners with line of business and leadership to align compensation programs with business goals and objectives. Independently handles highly complex salary administration responsibilities and compensation analysis. Responsible for all aspects of compensation and the strategic implementation and continued enhanced practices and processes. This position interacts with all areas of HR and leadership positions outside of HR; including a strong partnership with Finance. Pay Range: $86,200.00 - $125,600.00 - $165,000.00
Job Responsibilities:
- Partnering closely with HRBP and management of assigned portfolio to implement the human capital strategy, specific to the Compensation center of excellence. Provides pro-active and adhoc consulting on org design, job descriptions, leveling guidance, and performs market evaluations for new and existing positions. Ensure internally equity across job families and grade levels. Provide management with results and recommendations for how to utilize the market evaluation.
- Consults on pay mix (base/variable/stock) and incentive design (in partnership with incentive team) for new or modified incentives for the assigned portfolio. Provide market intel and assessment of incentive design and provide recommendations to help achieve the desired results and behaviors. Additional considerations for how to communicate, educate, administer and measure impact of the incentive upon implementation.
- Support Executive Compensation matters and Compensation Committee in partnership of Comp manager and Comp Director.
- Participates in efforts to revise and streamline Compensation policies and processes to increase efficiencies, maintain market competitiveness and ensure compliance. Consistently bring forward opportunities and enhancements to compensation programs and policies and lead the implementation from start to finish.
- Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Completes all required compliance training. Maintains knowledge of and adhere to Flagstar’s internal compliance policies and procedures. Takes responsibility to keep up to date with changing regulations and policies.
Job Requirements:
- High School/GED or Foreign Equivalent Required
- Minimum experience required: 5+ Years Progressive compensation and analytics experience (Specific to market evaluation, compensation program design, compensation analysis, process improvement and documentation and experience in job design)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel
- Workday advanced Compensation preferred.
