JOB SUMMARY
The Compensation Consultant 2 is accountable for providing strategic compensation consulting and project management services for initiatives specific to competitive pay programs and pay for performance philosophies outlined by the organization.
SALARY
The pay range for this position is $96,408 (entry-level qualifications) - $149,448 (highly experienced) The specific rate will depend upon the successful candidate’s specific qualifications and prior experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
- Works strategically across functional areas to identify, plan, develop and deliver compensation services and tools with high quality outcomes.
- Leads compensation related projects and initiatives which may include, the Compensation Committee, annual merit planning process, short- and long-term incentive programs, job architecture, etc.
- Helps with projects, maintains project timelines, creates presentations, communication materials, policies, etc.
- Partners with Compensation management and HR Business Services to develop compensation strategies and practices.
- Socializes new or changed pay programs with HR Business Services and business managers to include presentations for areas helped.
- Responds to internal requests for review of existing jobs, pricing new positions and equity adjustments, while ensuring internal and external equity.
- Conducts complex internal and external third-party market testing and reviews.
- Researches compensation trends and best practices in the external market and partners with HR and business leadership to enhance the organization's pay programs and competitive position.
- Conducts periodic audits to ensure accuracy of data.
- Responds to data requests.
- Mentors compensation staff, and provides performance and development feedback.
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) highly desirable.
- Knowledge of compensation policies, practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of health care industry is preferred.
- Relationship management and conflict resolutions skills.
- Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent ability to work with and influence all levels of management.
- Excellent data skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and regularly reprioritize tasks.
LOCATION: Remote
TRAVEL: On-site, Dallas Corporate Office, once per month
SCHEDULE: Full-Time
