Job Title: Community Relations Manager
Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina rated as the #3 resort in South Carolina as voted by Travel & Leisure Magazine, has a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Recreation Manager to join our team. The resort is home to a private beach, three pools, a hot tub, fire pits and myriad special events, making it a superb getaway while still offering stunning waterfront views of bustling downtown Charleston. APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Develops strategies and programs designed to favorably represent the Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina and make positive contributions to the community.
- Builds and maintains relationships with members of the community.
Develop relationships with schools and youth organizations to increase Awareness with onsite field trips, lemonade stands, and create other ways to bring schools to the CHRM.
Gain Sponsorships for Events: Party at the Point, Homegrown, Oysters on the Point, Ice Skating Rink, and all other newly created events.
Assist In Events: Party at the Point, Homegrown, Oysters on the Point, Ice Skating Rink, and all other newly created events.
- Social Media Manager for Events and Marina store
- Create private Facebook for Pool Members
- Involve the CHRM with all community events.
° Create Pool Member Newsletter- member in the spotlight, introduce staff monthly etc.
- Attend monthly Mt. Pleasant Chamber events.
- Attending grand openings in the community to enhance our presence.
- Be willing to work extended hours, weekends, holidays to meet the objectives of the event programming.
- Assist corporate groups with team building activities on a neededbasis.
Qualifications
- Knowledge about social media and marketing
- Strong guest service experience
Ability to communicate well with members, guests, and coworkers.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, weekends, evenings, and holidays
Capable of multi-tasking and good organizational skills
- Professional appearance 8, demeanor
Physical Demands
Many activities are performed outdoors in variable weather conditions, including hot and cold weather. Temperature can be extreme but is usually moderate.
