Community Pharmacy Manager

This position is responsible for effectively providing medications, providing revenue and enhancing the drug therapy outcomes of patients of the Medical Center. This is accomplished through managing the pharmacy operation, ensuring the appropriate medication is dispensed, continually assessing the appropriateness, safety, efficacy, outcomes of pharmacotherapy, education of pharmacy personnel and performance improvement initiatives.
Serves as the Compliance Officer for the pharmacy's specialty pharmacy program. This position serves as the Supervising Pharmacist, with all of the responsibilities required.

PharmD. NYS Pharmacist license in good standing. Serves as Supervising Pharmacist. Eligible for Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy or similar certification. Eligible for Pharmacist licensure in any state. Outpatient and/or Specialty Pharmacy experience required with at least 2 years of pharmacy supervisory experience. Knowledge of rules and regulations related to the practice of pharmacy. Working knowledge of Outpatient Pharmacy Management Systems (If necessary, training will be done upon hire.), Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Working knowledge of Epic Electronic Heath Record system. (If necessary, remedial work will be done upon hire.), Working knowledge of 340B drug program.
