POSITION SUMMARY

The Community Learning Site Coordinator is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for working with youth and who possess strong administrative skill sets. This position is a combination of Director of Operations and instructional assistant. While the Site Coordinator is not solely responsible for implementing lesson plans or directly overseeing student activities, there will be consistent interaction with enrolled participants. The Site Coordinator is the point of contact for all administrative duties including student recruitment, tracking attendance, identifying and scheduling enrichment providers/vendors, and parent outreach.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create a strategic environment for learning across multiple grade levels.
  • Provide leadership and administration of the Bristol Bluff Community Learning site’s day-to-day operations.
  • Maintain relationships with parents, vendors, and support staff (instruction coordinator and tutors).
  • Collect and forward various kinds of records including, but not limited to attendance, snack and supply tracking, material requests, and paper & and electronic registrations.
  • Responsible for the setup and maintenance of program activities and offer instructional support if necessary.
  • Engage with parents to provide progress on their child’s progress.
  • Provide a healthy, safe learning environment and the ability to appropriately respond to student disruptions accordingly.
  • Weekly check-ins with the Resident Services Manager or Resident Services Director.
  • Promote Community Learning Hub participation to LDG residents.
  • Work concurrently and collaboratively with the Evolve502 Site Liaison.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND PHYSICAL ABILITIES

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, Instructional Design or minimum 2 years experience in education, out-of-school time learning, or youth development.
  • Experience providing direct services to youth.
  • Ability to maintain professional relationships with internal staff and external partners to achieve goals.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others.
  • Prior experience working with youth ages 5-18.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and often loud environment.
  • Comfort working with software to track attendance, registration, and vendor interactions.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or carry objects up to 5 lbs.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel.
  • Availability to work Monday through Thursday, 3 pm-6 pm.
