Job Description
This position will cover North Eastern, KY primarily in the Ashland, Huntington, and Maysville areas.
The Community Educator/Liaison is responsible for the referral and sales process, developing and maintaining accurate community education information and coordinating the inpatient rehabilitation unit’s internal and external communications program. The liaison cultivates referral opportunities and provides admission from referral sources in our service area.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Educate providers, nurses, therapists and discharge planning professionals to the appropriateness and effectiveness of service intervention.
- Communicate with patients, and their support system, health care team and providers regarding the disposition of referrals.
- Represent SCH in the community and develop and maintain favorable and effective relationships with outside agencies.
- Responsible for the awareness of competitive programs.
- Meet census goals.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the services provided, admission criteria and patient characteristics, and effectively communicate this information to current and potential referral sources.
Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- Ability to develop and maintain wide range of working, professional relationships.
- Basic computer skills are necessary.
Education:
A Bachelor’s degree in marketing or similar field of study is required. Experience in marketed field may be considered in lieu of Bachelor’s degree.
Experience:
Two years marketing experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
Valid Kentucky driver’s license required.
