Looking for a Compassionate and Engaging Direct Support Professional for a 13-Year-Old with Autism!
About the Opportunity:

What You'll Do:
In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting a 13-year-old child with autism in reaching their full potential. You will work closely with a licensed BCBA to provide daily care, assistance, and companionship, while also helping the child develop important life skills and gain valuable life experiences. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing compassionate care and assistance with daily living activities: This includes helping with tasks such as preparing meals, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Engaging in fun and educational activities: You will play a key role in planning and facilitating activities that are both enjoyable and promote the child's social, emotional, and cognitive development. This could include playing board games, reading books, going for walks, or participating in other enriching activities.
- Offering emotional support and building a positive relationship: You will be a source of comfort and encouragement for the child, helping them feel safe, secure, and loved.
- Working collaboratively with the family and BCBA: You will be part of a team that is dedicated to supporting the child's success. You will communicate regularly with the family and BCBA to share updates, discuss progress, and ensure everyone is on the same page.
Who We're Looking For:
- Previous experience working with individuals with autism is preferred, but not required. We are happy to train the right candidate!
- Compassionate and empathetic, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the life of a child.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with and build rapport with the child and family.
- Creative, resourceful, and energetic, with a passion for making learning fun and engaging.
- Positive, patient, and enthusiastic, with a good sense of humor.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to complete a live scan background check.
Schedule:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday : 12-2PM
- Fri - 4-6:30PM
