Zepf Center has been serving the Lucas County community for nearly 50 years. We are the leading provider of behavioral health and substance use disorder services in Northwest Ohio. Services include adult and child psychiatric, substance abuse, case management, residential, Crisis Care, and therapy programs, as well as career development and wellness services. Zepf Center also offers primary care medical services to our patients to contribute to their continuum of care. Zepf Center is a trauma-informed agency and environment for both patients and staff.
General Summary:
Provides structured time limited face-to-face individual and group therapy for clients of the Center who are experiencing problems with their mental health and/or AoD issues, as well as both personal and interpersonal problems. Provides these services within the context of the goals identified on the client's individualized care plan. The person in this position provides services within Zepf facilities and, when appropriate, in the client's natural environment. Services are provided in an environment that assures client's privacy and confidentiality. This therapist will provide group, community-based services to individuals who may need additional therapeutic interventions in their home environment, and office-based services. This position may require evening appointments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Under the clinical supervision of the Clinical Manager or Clinical Coordinator, providing individual and group therapy both in agency facilities and in the Community Based on client needs as identified on the Individual Care Plan (ICP).
- Develops and facilitates time-limited and ongoing psychoeducation services to groups and individuals using standardized curriculum, identifies existing curriculum to fill gaps in services, with assistance and approval of the Therapy Team leadership.
- Meets with clients in the community to assist in developing and facilitating behavioral plans with client and family/caretakers and provides services to individuals homebound due to physical health issues.
- Assists in the formulation of Individual Care Plan and signs on all clients serviced. Works closely with other agencies.
- Manage a caseload of primarily short-term therapy clients.
- May provide crisis intervention services.
- Maintains direct service productivity per agency standards.
- Maintains required documentation per agency standards.
Requirements
Specific/Individual Competencies:
- CPR and First Aid
- Crisis Intervention (CPI) Training
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- LPC, LPCC, LSW, LISW, or other ODMH recognized status required.
- Must have experience in running groups and providing interventions to individuals with mental health problems.
- Prefer some experience with individuals with co-occurring intellectual disabilities and mental health symptoms.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to be covered under the agency's commercial car insurance.
- Proof of car insurance for the vehicle that will be driven in the course of business.
