SalaryCowley County Emergency Communications is currently recruiting full time 9-1-1 Communications Officers / Dispatchers.
This position performs Emergency 9-1-1 and administrative non-emergency dispatching to public safety units in the field and reports of routine and emergency events to countywide law enforcement, emergency medical, and fire services. Starting pay is $17.14/hr.
We can hire applicants as young as 18 years old, provide paid training and give you experience you can use in a public safety career. Our shift scheduling gives you a three-day weekend every other week. We provide casual uniforms once training has been completed.
Applicants must meet the following criteria: Shall be at least 18 years of age, possess a High School diploma or acceptable equivalent, no criminal record and be of good moral character.
The successful applicant must pass a hearing test, drug test and a background check. Once hired, the employee must live within 45 minutes of the Cowley County Courthouse.
