Preferred Qualifications
- Student pursuing or having received a bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, or related field
- Must be savvy with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment managing multiple priorities with tight deadlines
- Excellent writing skills with a keen ability to create easy-to-read, uplifting, and engaging content
- Ability to follow Rocket Mortgage branding guidelines for visual and written content, working knowledge of AP Style
- Have an adaptable approach to learning and ability to pick things up quickly
- Participate in team meetings and strategy discussions, collaborate in communications tactics, and engage in a support role for various projects
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity or past experience with ghost writing
Job Summary
As a Communications Intern you will provide support to the Mortgage Banking Communications team. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with teams across Rocket Mortgage on various projects on communication strategies, tactics, and will assist in the drafting of communication materials to promote campaigns, business goals, and programs to drive team member engagement.
You will also be paired with a Mentor that will be your guide for projects and assignments.

- Working independently and enjoys having the autonomy and creative freedom to bring forth new ideas
- Receive feedback with a positive outlook to confirm communication meets leadership needs
- Interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization and work independently and as part of a team
- Working knowledge of all social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)
- Operate with the highest level of confidentiality and discretion
