COMMUNICATIONS EXTERNAL (COMEXT) ANALYST

Responsibilities

• Identify standard and non-standard formats and protocols in RF COMEXT data (e.g., packetized data, proprietary data or data masking).
• Evaluate RF COMEXT datasets and verify processor fidelity.
• Radio Frequency (RF) spectrum analysis theory, including differentiation, spectrum characteristics, and RF agility.

 

OPERATING HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS:

• This position operates on a standard 8 hour schedule Monday - Friday.  

TRAVEL:

• Little to no travel expected.

Qualifications

CLEARANCE:

• Active Top Secret / SCI clearance with CI Poly.  

EDUCATION:

• A degree may be substituted for years of SIGINT experience in some instances.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• • 5 years of SIGINT analysis experience, including 3 years working with RF COMEXT data with a degree.   
  • -OR-
  • 10 years of SIGINT analysis experience ,including 5 years working with RF COMEXT data without a degree. 
• Ability to identify standard and non-standard formats and protocols in RF COMEXT data (e.g., packetized data, proprietary data or data masking).
• Ability to evaluate RF COMEXT datasets and verify processor fidelity.
• Familiarity with Radio Frequency (RF) spectrum analysis theory, including differentiation, spectrum characteristics, and RF agility.
• Satellite systems experience to include satellite communication (SATCOM) equipment, satellite operations, and basic satellite communications principles.
• Experience in strategic, operational, and tactical mission support within TechSIGINT.

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Experience with Combined Emitter Database (CED) or Electronic Warfare Integrated Reprogramming Database (EWIRDB).
