Communications Content Specialist

Calling all creatives! We are looking for a Communications Content Specialist.

As we serve such a large state and we want to continue to grow and deliver our mission in serving rural communities, family farms, & ranches. We are seeking a Marketing & Communications Content Specialist to join our teams who are innovative in design and video. To succeed in this role, strong time management and organization skills, strong video knowledge, storytelling, and digital skills will be crucial for success.

They will also need to be able to travel as needed for videography and photography

The Communications Content Specialist primarily collaborates with the Communications Director & staff to advance the MFU mission.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaboratively develop and execute a social media strategy to increase visibility among existing followers and attract and engage new followers.
• Collaborate and write & edit copy in a variety of formats including radio tv & digital.
• Help Communications staff edit and proof marketing assets to ensure high editorial standards are met.
• Develop creative and collaborative video and imagery to help further MFUs mission.
• Monitor trends in social media tools, technologies and applications.
• Monitor social media accounts for posts that pose harm to the brand and/or raise issues that should be brought to the attention of leadership.
• Assist Communications staff with varying brand guidelines, ensuring each department has consistency across their respective content.
• Build strong, trusted relationships with internal clients to help meet individual goals.
• Assist Communications and other staff on projects and events as needed.
• Affect and maintain a professional, proactive, positive, highly collaborative, and performance-centric work environment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Ability to work independently or as a team.
• Ability to collaboratively map out a social media strategy and then drive that strategy.
• Understanding and application of digital marketing best practices.
• Willingness to learn and back up colleagues.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
