JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Specific:
- Answer incoming calls to the hospital switchboard and distribute to patients, employees, physicians offices, etc. in a prompt, courteous and professional manner – (EF)
- Overhead page; respond to security calls;
- Respond to emergency codes in a prompt and professional manner ensuring that all personnel have been contacted; record actions on reports/logs as required. –( EF)
- Monitor all alarms in the PBX area and respond quickly and according to department protocol – (EF )
- Issue emergency broadcasts as necessary.
Hospital:
1. Adheres to organization-wide and other applicable policies and procedures.
2. Day-to-day performance complies with the hospital’s Service Excellence Behavioral Expectations.
3. Performs within the prescribed limits of the hospital’s Ethics, Compliance and Confidentiality Program guidelines.
4. Performs within his/her professional Scope of Practice at all times.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Required: High school diploma or GED
EXPERIENCE
Required: 1-2 years customer service or telephone experience preferred
Preferred: 1-2 years customer service or telephone experience preferred
