Role

Change Leader would be part of the US Corporate Development team, and focused on integration planning and execution, for acquisitions that our client makes for its strategic portfolio.


The purpose of this role is to improve the success of post-merger integration, through an in-depth focus around people (all stakeholders) and the change/communications required to deliver the new organization.

The focus of the role is to advise and lead team members to work with the unique Integration Office for each acquisition. The person will drive a coordinated change management and communications plan that addresses the integration strategies around Organization, Talent, Channels, Clients, Go-to-Market, and Internal Communications.


This resource will facilitate the use of best practices to drive coordination across these teams, and be hands-on to help teams develop leadership focused transition plans, deliver the people and client focused communication plans, support the internal positioning strategies, as well as drive the continued execution of change management plans beyond the 100+ days.


Expectations of the role will be to:


  • Assess culture and understand requirements to effectively plan, launch and integrate workforce teams, and then monitor progress compared to benchmarks

  • Help leaders/ teams have the foundation to be successful in a new organization, through change management strategies and tactics

  • Support the development of an appropriate Operating Model and Integration Plan, through a comprehensive understanding of anticipated challenges for legacy and transitioned teams

  • Develop and execute a 360 communications plan that drives connections for transitioned leaders, employees, teams, clients and all stakeholders

  • Help the sponsor drive communications/connections across our client firm to recognize planned import and export value

  • Help teams develop excellence in messaging and communication deliverables

  • Deliver continuity of change management and communications support to fully execute the plan (from diligence through to 100 days post close)

  • Utilize consistent best practices, with continual refinements based on recent acquisitions

  • Work with leaders and integration teams to deliver the people and client focused communication plans

  • Further develop the comprehensive capability for change management, to encompass advance engagement of leaders and teams, as well as training and talent activities



Possess strong competencies for developing strategy, business launches and communications planning, writing and project management. Past experience related to organizational/ workforce management in M&A Consulting is a plus:


  • Leadership level experience at an organization

  • Strong strategy capability , with an understanding in launching businesses and teams, an ability to lead in collaborative project team environment,

  • Experience in Human Capital M&A or transformations, would be ideal

  • Development of communications plans across internal and external stakeholders

  • Hands-on approach to execute the change/communications plan and its deliverables

  • Strong writing and presentations skills, and an ability translate vision and strategies into key messaging

  • Analytical ability to develop survey and other feedback /interview tools, and extrapolate results

  • Track record of working effectively with teams and leaders

  • Ability to develop creative approaches to address stakeholder concerns/ issues

  • Comfortable owning the quality of tactical deliverables, such as plans and communication materials

  • Professionalism as a Corp Dev team member, working across FSS, Integration Office teams and with Target team members in an M&A environment

  • Willingness to be flexible in assignments and projects to support Corp Dev success

  • Willingness to travel, generally 1 week per month, but may increase based on deal volume
