Your Role
As a member of Farrell Roofing’s estimating team, you are critical to the success of our branches and our company. Estimating staff ensure that our project bids are competitive and that our project prices leave us with profit margin. Estimators are critical to our company having a steady flow of work and to our company being profitable. Successful occupants of this role will detail oriented and will be reliable.
Day to Day Responsibilities will include:

• Generating accurate estimates of material, equipment, and take off costs for any assigned bids using The Edge estimating software.
• Submitting completed estimates to the Corporate Estimating Manager for review.
• Reviewing project specification and blueprints.
• Requesting subcontract quotes and bid bonds as needed for assigned estimates/bids.
• Responding to inquiries from branches to help respond to Requests for Information as needed.
• Participating in pre-bid meetings with branch leadership 24 hours before bid submission.
• Participating in job hand off meetings with the Operations Administration team for any project that The Company is awarded.
• Attending trainings for The Edge estimating software.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5+ years experience creating project estimates required.
• 5+ years reading project specifications and blueprints required.
• Knowledge of roofing materials and roof application techniques preferred.
• Working knowledge of Edge estimating software required.

Wage Range: $60,000-$90,000. Negotiable depending on experience.
