Requirements
- General knowledge of truck diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance but not limited to diesel engine, transmission, air brake, suspension, hydraulics and electrical systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and vehicles
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Conduct inspections to identify worn or damaged parts
- Repair or replace faulty components, such as brakes, transmissions, and engines
- Perform tire services, including mounting, balancing, and rotation
- Knowledgeable in computer aided truck diagnostics
- Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and management.
- Specific prior in-industry experience is not required but is a plus
- The ability to perform heavy lifting and physical activity in all weather conditions
- Repair all equipment including road calls, if required.
- Keep a neat, safe and clean work area.
- Follow all safety standards as per company polices and OSHA regulations.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
This position requires a high level of technical expertise in diesel engine repair and maintenance. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of diesel vehicles and equipment through regular inspections, repairs, and maintenance.
