SalaryCorcept is engaged in the discovery and development of drugs that treat severe endocrine, metabolic, oncologic and neurological disorders by modulating the effects of the hormone cortisol. Since 2012, we have marketed Korlym ® for the treatment of patients suffering from Cushing's syndrome, a life-threatening orphan disorder caused by excess cortisol activity.
In addition to our commercial product, Korlym, we have discovered a portfolio of more than 1,000 proprietary selective cortisol modulators. Lead compounds are in Phase 2 and Phase 3 trials for the treatment of patients with Cushing's syndrome, advanced ovarian cancer, castration-resistant prostate cancer, weight gain caused by antipsychotic medications and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis ("NASH"). We are about to start a Phase 2 trial in patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis ("ALS").

Corcept is seeking an intern to support the Commercial Oncology team in activities related to launch planning for relacorilant in ovarian cancer and new indication opportunity assessments in oncology. We are looking for an intern with excellent organizational, analytical, problem solving, and communication skills, who can perform detailed work accurately and in a timely manner. The intern hired for this position can expect to learn various facets of the planning and commercialization of pharmaceuticals with the goal of leaving the internship with invaluable skills and industry knowledge.
Responsibilities:
- Assess the opportunity for one or more new indications for relacorilant in oncology
- Synthesize data from various sources including 1:1 KOL interactions, desk research, syndicated market research reports, and internal expertise into actionable insights
- Evaluate the addressable market and competitive landscape
- Build a forecast model in support of new opportunities in oncology
- Provide support and help manage launch planning initiatives and other strategic projects
- Present conclusions to senior leadership team at conclusion of internship
Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Technical Proficiencies:
- Analytic skills with aptitude to distill scientific, clinical, and commercial information into clear insights
- Scientific curiosity and aptitude for the oncology therapeutic area
- Good communication skills; ability to develop and deliver compelling presentations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's of science degree preferred. MBA in process preferred
- Prior experience in the drug/biotech industry preferred
The pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position is $19-29/hr; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on legitimate considerations, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education.
