Position Summary: The Johnson County Commercial Loan Officer maintains sound knowledge of Commercial Loan policy and procedures, Commercial Loans and deposit accounts, cash management, letters of credit, and other bank products and services. This professional calls on potential or existing borrowers to develop new business and/or retain existing business.
Essential Functions:
+ Maintains sound knowledge of Commercial Loan policy and procedures, commercial deposit accounts, cash management, letters of credit, and other bank products and services.
+ Contacts existing borrowers to develop new business and/or increase or retain existing business. Interview applicants to develop information concerning their business needs, abilities and earnings.
+ Completes process of analyzing, structuring, pricing and negotiating credit requests.
+ Review and recommend objectives and procedures to ensure conformity with the bank’s policies as they relate to commercial lending activities.
+ Maintain a customer call listing and document ongoing calling activity.
+ Service and monitor existing commercial account relationships. Ensure compliance, proper loan rating, timely past due management and problem loan detection.
+ Identify industry resources and conducts industry comparisons as it relates to a particular business to provide additional risk assessment.
+ Identify problems in credit trends and recommend enhancements to loan terms, conditions and controls.
+ Represent the bank in the community through active participation in community affairs and professional organizations.
+ Understand and adhere to all bank policies, laws and regulations applicable to their role. Complete compliance training; follow internal processes and controls as required.
+ Report all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations in accordance with the steps defined in bank policies.
+ Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
+ Perform other job related duties or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
+ Prior Commercial Lending Experience required.
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field preferred.
+ Proven loan sales experience with an established portfolio preferred.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and in working with other financial software.
+ Valid driver’s license.

Working Environment:
Indoor work- not exposed to outdoor elements or hazards.

This role is eligible for hybrid work from home opportunity under the work from home guidelines upon completion of onboarding.
