As the Portfolio Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing middle-market underwriting and managing a diverse portfolio of credit relationships, each with its own level of complexity. Beyond mitigating credit risk, your role will center on delivering outstanding customer service to retain and expand our existing client base through loan and deposit growth initiatives. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to guide and mentor junior team members, contributing to their professional development and our collective success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead middle-market credit underwriting and portfolio management, ensuring the highest quality standards.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients while identifying opportunities for portfolio expansion.
- Develop and execute strategies to manage credit risk effectively.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients, addressing their financial needs and objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize client relationships.
- Mentor and train junior team members, fostering their growth and development.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes to inform decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7+ years of proven middle-market credit underwriting and portfolio management. Wine industry underwriting is essential!
- 10+ years in banking or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, accounting or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess credit risk.
- Exceptional customer service and relationship-building abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Leadership qualities with a passion for mentoring and developing talent.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary $100,000 to $150,000 DOE, plus 20% annual bonus.
