Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques.
- Follow aseptic technique when performing procedures and handling equipment.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Document client information accurately in client records.
- Medication reminders
- Provide care to individuals with developmental disabilities or special needs.
- Monitor and report changes in client condition to the nursing staff.
- Perform basic life support measures in emergency situations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Completion of a nursing assistant training program or equivalent experience.
- Current certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare procedures.
- Ability to lift and move patients with proper body mechanics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems is a plus.
