Job Summary

The Senior Engineer of the Identity, Authentication and Access Management is responsible for deployment, transforming and adoption of the Authentication and Access Management infrastructure comprising Radius, TACACS & LDAP. The engineer needs to be comfortable working with multiple technology stacks, and automation frameworks to facilitate rapid scaling and repeatable infrastructure.

Core Responsibilities

  • The primary focus of this role is in the area of Authentication and Access Management infrastructure, where the candidate will maintain, and support existing automated systems and custom tools that support Comcast Network Devices and Linux systems
  • Responsible for operational support of the Radius, TACACS and LDAP infrastructure that provides access to Comcast Network Devices and Linux systems
  • Support customers in new device on-boardings which includes engineering the solution and policies to set the access and troubleshoot any shortcomings in configurations
  • Help identify gaps and improve the existing security platform to improve quality, robustness, scalability, and security
  • Work with end users during the adoption of the Authentication and Authorization platform for Network devices and Linux servers
  • Implement monitoring, alarming, and generation of statistics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of infrastructure

Required Experience
  • Must have a solid understanding of system design and architecture with a focus on high availability, scalability, disaster recovery, and automation.
  • Strong Experience with operations or secure system administration, particularly with Unix/Linux
  • Experience in Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), Test Driven Development (TDD) and Agile methodologies
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible
  • Experience with monitoring, alarming, and visualization technologies (e.g. Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana (ELK), Sensu, Nagios, Grafana, Prometheus) properly manage the health of infrastructure
  • Fluency and understanding of multiple interpreted and/or compiled programming languages for large-scale analysis (e.g. Python)
  • Fluency in acquiring data securely from APIs, data queues, flat-file, and remote DB sources as well as creating and modifying APIs for downstream consumers and data transformation
  • Familiarity with information/network security detection tools, logging systems, network architecture, and threat intelligence
  • Familiarity with IP networking concepts (TCP/IP, packet capture analysis), a plus
  • Familiarity with Network devices and troubleshooting

Understanding Compliance controls for SOX, PCI, etc.

Education

Bachelor's Degree
