Job Summary
The Privacy Engineer 5 will report to the Director of Privacy Operations under Product Security & Privacy (PS&P). This individual will be responsible for establishing themselves as a lead Privacy Engineer, providing technical solutions and Privacy by Design guidance to the teams developing our Xfinity products, services, and digital experiences.This role will give you an excellent opportunity to partner with the Comcast Privacy Legal and Info Sec team to translate legal and regulatory data privacy requirements into technical engineering controls. The privacy lead for this position will have exposure to a variety of Comcast businesses and will be required to evangelize our Privacy Development Lifecycle (PDL) program.
Job Description
- Provide product teams and other stakeholders with guidance of our Privacy Development Lifecycle (PDL) core practices
- Develops and applies privacy design strategies and patterns for addressing common privacy issues in the product software engineering lifecycle
- Develops measures to implement privacy requirements into product development
- Is a privacy Subject Matter Expertise (SME), across Entertainment and syndication engagements, of privacy measures including assessing risk, evaluating technical controls/operations, and partnering with product leads and DevOps teams
- Collaborates with Comcast Cyber Security (CCS) teams to understand organizational initiatives and priorities
- Interfaces with the Comcast De-Identification Center of Excellence (COE)
- Drive progress on initiatives requiring updates to data privacy
- Develop relationships with key cross-functional partners across the enterprise to inform and help develop a consistent design that drives progress on data privacy
- Keep internal leadership and cross-functional stakeholders up to date with key feedback and action items.
- Ability to manage and track their own workstreams
- Conduct pre-production privacy reviews of initiatives in the product pipeline
How You Deliver
- Work with privacy counsel to translate legal guidance into actionable plans for executing privacy requirements into product development
- Review complex data lifecycle flows and system architecture diagrams to ensure proper accountability of Personal Information
- Demonstrate the ability to quickly grasp complex subjects. Apply strong analytical skills and technical knowledge.
- Stay current on relevant business risks (e.g., current events, emerging technologies, cyber security, etc.) and determine where appropriate to apply to initiatives
- Show flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks or stepping in to support execution, as appropriate

Requirement:
- Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity
- 8+ years of experience with Systems architecture or engineering experience
- 8+ years of experience in management
- 8+ years of experience in data protection
Nice to Have
- Knowlege in privacy by design principles, consumer privacy, and information security
