Tactical Combat Medical Course Delivery Specialist (Level II)
Summary: The location of this work is at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. The Course Delivery Program Specialist provides support and augments Tactical Combat Medical Course program personnel in the delivery and execution of standardized instruction and testing for Health Care Providers (Physicians, Physician Assistants, Dentists, Nurses, and Nurse Practitioners) and 68W20-40 Combat Medics in Tactical Combat Casualty Care and Role 1 and 2 operations.
Job Description:
Set up and tear down skill stations and trauma training lanes (mannequin reset, etc.)
Set up and tear down classroom and aid station.
Assist with the preparation of the animal for the lab.
Monitor access control.
Assist with animal restraint, sedation, tracheal intubation, IV catheter placement, and monitoring of anesthetized patients (vital signs).
Provide support to instructors/students with equipment, re-sets, student materials and equipment.
Assist in Course Preparation.
Identify and restock/resupply class inventory.
Review/provide input to student and facilitator guides, briefings, and course support materials.
Perform routine equipment maintenance.
Perform laboratory set up and tear down, clean up and sanitation.
Perform routine clerical and organizational tasks.
Organize files, draft messages, and support permanent staff.
Create spreadsheets, manage databases, and produce presentations, reports, and documents.
Research literature, evaluate training products, analysis training requirements and outcomes.
Research and author new training materials and products, collaborate with experts.
Transport course equipment from storage to classroom.
Preferred Qualifications:
Must be able to carry equipment up and down stairs or across uneven terrain.
Ability to remain outside in inclement weather.
Able to stand for 8 or more hours.
Able to wear personal protective equipment as needed during inclement weather.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma
4-10 years of related experience
