Let's promote Ohio Wines! Be an intern for the Ohio Grape Industries Committee (OGIC) and do just that! If you are a college student majoring in a Business or Agriculture field, this internship is for you! Did we mention it's about wine? You will spend time promoting Ohio wines and wineries by traveling to wine festivals and special events across the state!

This position will run May 2024 - August 2024 for approximately 40 hours per week. It is located at the Ohio Department of Agriculture's Reynoldsburg office. By the way, this means free parking! The hourly rate for this position is $12.00 per hour.

The Ohio Grape Industries Committee is a quasi-state agency which helps to create viable, income-producing grape enterprises in the state of Ohio, including vineyards and wineries. What You'll Do:

The Ohio Grape Industries Committee has an opening for a full-time intern May-August 2024 for approximately 40 hours per week. This position is located at the Ohio Department of Agriculture's offices in Reynoldsburg. The hourly rate for this position is $12.00 per hour.

  • Ship point-of-purchase materials to wineries and consumers, as requested
  • Assist with creation of industry and consumer newsletters, press releases, etc.
  • Assist in promoting Ohio wines and wineries by traveling to various wine festivals and special events across the state (Ohio Wine Month - June; Ohio State Fair - July 24, 2024-August 4, 2024)
  • Some evening and weekend work

Ohio Public Employees Retirement System

    Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university

    Sophomore, junior or senior in college

    Degree recommendations: Pursuing BA or BS in Agriculture or Business

    Major recommendations: Animal Science, Communications, Food Business, Horticulture, Marketing, Business, Education or Economics

    Valid driver's license from state of residence
