- Create individualized systems of process monitoring student outcomes
- Communicates with parents, students, and staff to convey pertinent information while maintaining confidentiality of personal information.
- Guide students through the college application process
- At times, work outside regular business hours and extended hours may be required to accomplish the position's requirements.
- Assist with Summer Orientation and Registration planning and implementation (materials development, student outreach, presentation of information, meeting with students, assisting families in the registration process).
- Communication with staff at Hennepin Technical College and Minneapolis College to ensure
- Monitor student's attendance and grades
- Establish and develop strong community relationships with colleges and universities, non-profit institutions, and social services to cultivate possibilities for College and Career from pre-k to high school, engage in social learning, and provide students and families with community resources.
- Aim to establish healthy relationships between school staff and families by encouraging communication between teachers and parent/guardian(s), helping facilitate family meetings, and providing resources as needed.
- Guide each student to choose courses consistent with their interests, abilities and Career plans
- 2-year degree
- Demonstrate experience in working with racial, ethnic, students of color, international and domestic students, and low-income students
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to understand and maintain confidentiality
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Able to work some night and weekends
