Collections Specialist

We’re looking for a Collections Specialist to join our Team!

The Collections Specialist position will function as the primary contact for incoming and outgoing consumer communication. The candidate will handle all aspects of early pre-litigation collections. The best candidates will be self-motivated, team-oriented and eager to be a part of a rapidly growing business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Use prepared scripts with consumers to collect funds, set up payment plans, and respond to basic questions.
• Place high-volume phone calls to delinquent consumers.
• Contact Consumers on behalf of clients to resolve discrepancies, sort payments, small balances, and delinquent accounts.
• Place outbound specialized calls related to litigation, post judgment motions and hearings, and client requests.
• Accurately document all calls and consumer contacts.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and directives from supervisors/managers.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma
• Must have 2 years of customer service/collections experience.
• Experience working in a call center environment.
• Proficient using Microsoft Office.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to negotiate to reach mutually beneficial agreements.

Preferred Skills:

• 1-2 years high-volume, fast-paced job experience
• Knowledge of billing and collections procedures
• Strong attention to detail and goal oriented
• Commitment to excellent customer service
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
