Collections Specialist

WB Waste Solutions, LLC is a waste services holding company located in Hyattsville, MD. Our focus is delivering environmentally focused waste solutions through our family of waste collection, recycling, processing, and transportation companies.

Job Summary

The Collections Specialist completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.

Job Description and Daily Duties

• Register all customer payments to the correct reports
• Pinpoint delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. written correspondence, phone contact, skip-tracing, and making arrangements for payment
• Abide by all Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act rules and regulations
• Maintain quality customer service and a positive company image by resolving customer account inquiries
• Post checks
• Handle inbound and outbound collections calls and correspondence
• Ensure the processing of payments
• Direct all billing and reporting activities in accordance to deadlines
• Update customer files to ensure data integrity
• Process bankruptcy filings correctly when received
• Email and mail out invoices and statements
• Provide outstanding balances and information to Third Party collection.

Required Experience: Two years of prior work experience
