Collections Clerk

Responsibilities

• Facilitate resolution of customer billing problems with bill initiating department for delinquent accounts.
• Identify issues that cause delinquency and discuss with management.
• Make outbound collections efforts including making calls in a professional manner, and sending emails concerning outstanding balances in accordance with Collections Standards.
• Review open accounts for collections efforts to reduce the number of aged items. and aged balances in assigned portfolio.
• Monitoring accounts to identify overdue payments.
• contact customers to ask about their overdue payments.
• Keeping accurate records and reporting on collection activity.

Requirements

• Proven working experience as a Collections Clerk
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Comfortable calling customers to collect payment
• Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office software
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• High School Degree (or equivalent)

Schedule

• M-F 8:00-5:00

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
