- Perform analysis of Cogen Operations

Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled student in good standing, pursuing a Bachelor's degree (B.A., B.S.) in the Mechanical, Chemical or ElectricalEngineering field who has completed their sophomore or junior undergraduate year and with completed course work in Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, and Chemistry
- Anticipated graduation date of May 2025, December 2025, or May 2026
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to effectively communicate throughout all levels of the organization and with teams comprised of production, maintenance, and/or mine personnel
- Demonstrated understanding of engineering mathematics
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Microsoft Office suite proficiency, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated and eager learner, with a positive attitude and aptitude to grow and develop within the field
- Demonstrated leadership skills and proven success working in a team environment
- Demonstrated commitment to safety
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring future sponsorship for employment visa status. (OPT H-1B Visa and TN visa are not currently supported.)
- Prior internship and/or related work experience is a plus.
- Active involvement in campus, club, community or other volunteer activities or organizations related to engineering is a plus.
Internship Details:
- Compensation: $23.00/hour
- Project Duration: Up to 12 weeks (between late May - Mid August)
- Hours/Week: Up to 40 hours
- A great career development opportunity allowing the Intern to gain work experience with a global company learning Cogen operations and systems from an industry expert for both gas and steam turbines; technical writing experience, and engineering
Physical Requirements:
- Occasional lifting up to ten lbs.
- Requires walking or standing to a significant degree.
- Contact with water or other liquids; or exposure to non-weather-related humid conditions.
- Ability to read and write in English in order to process paperwork and follow up on any necessary actions.
- Manual dexterity is needed for keyboarding, operating analytical instrumentation and other repetitive tasks.
