Under limited supervision, performs coding on all diagnoses and procedures & abstracts the record. Uses the most accurate codes for reimbursement purposes, research, epidemiology, statistical analysis outcomes, financial and strategic planning, and evaluation of quality of care. In addition to coding activities conducted in the normal course of operations, the staff member will be responsible for providing coding audit services and education for each of the specialties of the physician practices.
