Code Enforcement Officer

Duties:

• Enforce ordinances and regulations to maintain residential and commercial property within the Village of Creve Coeur
• Inspect the Village for ordinance compliance
• Write detailed reports on incidents, observations, and actions taken
• Post and serve notices to property owners & occupants
• Issue citations for ordinance violations
• Respond to complaints
• Provide information and documentation in administrative hearings
• Prepare reports for immediate supervisor
• Appear at Village Board and/or committee meetings upon request
• Other Duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to pass a criminal background investigation, including drug testing
• Of good moral character
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficient use of basic computer functions, particularly, Microsoft Excel and Word
• Knowledge of report writing procedures and techniques; preferred
• Capability to work independently
• Propensity to act professionally in conflict

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
