The ideal candidate will have a background in aerospace with 2 years of experience as a CNC Swiss Machinist, who is able to work effectively with Swiss machines, has extensive experience setting up and operating various machines (DMG Mori), is proficient in interpreting blueprints including GD&T, schematics, and has knowledge of editing programs utilizing G&M codes. Furthermore, would like to work in a family environment.

Summary:
The CNC Swiss Machinist is responsible for fabricating precision-machined parts by setting up and operating a Swiss style CNC machining center per work orders, routers, & blueprints. Parts are smaller in size, 12” max. Most runs are short, 10 to 500 pieces.

 

Essential Functions:

• Complete tool, fixture, and material setup on CNC Swiss style machine.

• Running first piece article ready for inspection.

• Verifying parts by using precision measuring equipment.

• Changing tools and offsets based in cutting conditions.

• Using proper methodology and cutting tools to produce quality parts that adhere to production and quality standards.

• Using proper feed, speed, and other cutting parameters based on work piece matls such as aluminum, steel, stainless steel, titanium, etc.

• Revising programs as needed based on engineering or production required changes.

• Participating in troubleshooting on CNC programming and production related issues on the shop floor.

• Other similar or related duties as required.

Pay Details: $50,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
