POSITION SUMMARY
Our CNC ROUTER Programmers utilize AutoCAD and Enroute software to produce CNC programs based off 3D models provided by our technical department. This is a Lead position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Use a variety of software and platforms to track, document, and communicate information pertaining to jobs and work orders throughout CNC production.
2. Communicate and collaborate with the Production Manager to determine timelines and priorities of work being processed by the CNC Department.
3. Meet and discuss upcoming CNC projects to obtain critical information required to produce accurate and quality pieces and parts.
4. The CNC ROUTER Programmer will need to direct operators as well as train new employees in the department.
5. Perform Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for documentation processes, focusing on continual improvement of department performance.
6. Maintain strict quality controls for work product, as well as file management.
7. Maintain and upgrade software, machines, materials, and expendables as required. The CNC ROUTER Programmer will need to know how to fully operate, adjust, and calibrate tools and equipment.
8. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS TO BE CONSIDERED:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.
- Minimum 5 years’ programming and operating CNC ROUTERS similar to those used at 1220 Exhibits.
- Carpentry and/or woodworking skills a plus!
Job-related Skills and Special Requirements:
- Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
- Must have experience working on standard Microsoft Office suite of computer programs.
- Must be fluent in current versions of AutoCAD specifically.
- Proficiency in Adobe and other visualization software preferred.
- This position requires interaction in 1220’s shop and on job sites under construction. This position requires attending meetings, completing documentation, and professional development.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Detail oriented. CNC operators perform precision work, often with many edges. The ability to see characteristics detect changes requires attention to detail.
2. Manual dexterity. CNC operators must have a steady hand to hold materials in place. They also need good hand–eye coordination.
3. Physical stamina. These workers must be able to endure long periods in awkward positions while bending, stooping, or standing.
4. Physical strength. CNC operators must be able to lift 70# pieces of metal and wood and move equipment.
5. Spatial-orientation skills. CNC operators must be able to read and interpret two- and three-dimensional diagrams.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
