Cnc Operator

Greiner Industries Inc. is looking for a second shift CNC Machine Operator to join our cutting/burning department. Enjoy a 15% shift differential while working on second shift (Monday through Thursday 3:30 pm to 2 am).

Our Kinetics Triple-Gantry cutting system features high-definition (HD) plasma and oxy-fuel torches that can cut up to 10” thick carbon steel plate and up to 6-1/4” thick stainless steel plate with gantry-type machining center capabilities. The unique 360-degree contour beveling capabilities lets us cut bevels in steel, aluminum and many other alloy metal materials.

Our Messer CNC Fiber Laser/Plasma Plate Cutting System has a 10ft by 60ft cutting table work area, a laser that can cut up to 5/8” thick stainless steel and 3/4″ thick carbon steel plate, and our High-definition (HD) plasma can cut up to 1.5″ thick stainless steel and 1.75″ thick carbon steel plate with 360-degree beveling capability.

Our 5-axis Ward Jet Waterjet Cutting System is a 5’ high x 15’ wide x 50’ long work envelope and can cut anything except tempered glass, can angle cut up to 90-degrees from perpendicular, can contour cut by rotating the cutting head 360-degrees, and can cut material up to 12” thick – all types of steel, aluminum, granite, rubber and more.

Requirements:

• Ability to work in a safe, cautious manner, exercising care and concern for people, equipment, and product
• Knowledge of large material handling
• Competency in being able to prioritize, make decisions, follow instructions, recognize, and adhere to standards of quality
• Work independently and with others, demonstrating responsible behavior and attention to detail
• Ability to perform daily preventative maintenance measures to ensure safety of equipment and work environment.
• Knowledge of crane rigging experience with large parts a plus, our overhead crane system has a maximum lifting capability of 50 tons with 31’ hook height.
• Ability to interpret blueprints
• Strong math skills
• 1 plus years’ experience running a waterjet cutting system, or a laser/plasma cutting system or a Kinetics burning table. If you can run one of these, we’ll teach you the rest!
