Leidos Dynetics is seeking talentedCNC OD/ID Grind Machinist to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Leidos Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
Primary Responsibilities
The CNC OD/ID Grind Machinist must be capable of reading engineering drawings and CAD models to produce unique precision parts. Ideal candidate should also have experience in programming, setup, and operation of a variety of machine tools including CNC Mills and CNC Lathes, but with a focus on OD/ID Grinding. Experience in the manufacturing of complex aerospace components from exotic materials, such as Titanium, is a plus. Grinding of close tolerance, high precision parts an advantage for this position. Applicant must be able to work on different projects in an ever changing, rapid paced R&D environment with little or no assistance.
Basic Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED with 3 or more years of relevant experience.
- Candidates must have the ability to lift a minimum of 35+ pounds unassisted.
- Candidate must be able to work overtime when required.
- Applicant must be able to work a full-time, 4-days per week 10-hours per shift, 1st shift.
- Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess or meet the eligibility to obtain (and be able to maintain) a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 axis machining experience with Fanuc, Siemens 840D controls and MAPS programming.
- (2) two years of 2D & 3D experience with a CAM software tool.
- Onscreen programming using M Code or G Code a plus.
- Experience machining in a high precision Aerospace environment.
- Studer grinder with Fanuc controls a plus.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $53,950.00 - $97,525.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
