CNC Mill Operator
Pay Rate: $22.75/hr
Hours: MONDAY - THURSDAY 2:15 PM-12:45 AM
Location: Fenton, MO 63026
Contract to Hire
Roles & Responsibilities:

• Setup, layout, and operate various CNC lathes and/or mills
• Reads blueprint or job order for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances and tooling instructions such as fixtures, cutting speeds, and depth of cut and determines the sequence of operations.
• Selects, positions, and secures tools in the tool holder.
• Positions and secures work pieces in holding devices, machine tables, chuck, centers, or fixtures.
• Moves controls to position tool and workpiece about each other and to set specified feeds, speeds, and depth of cut.
• Sets up fixture, and starts machine.
• Requires ability to read precision measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers.
• Observes operation of the machine and verifies conformity of machined workpiece to specifications.
• Keeps work area clean and orderly
• Follows all Company rules and safety policies.
• Discuss errors in diagrams or production orders with the supervisor or engineer to clarify assembly problems.

Core Competency Requirements:

• Performs any assembly-type functions, using hand or power tools.
• Adjusts, trim, and fitting parts to close tolerances.
• Follows visual aids (standard work) to ensure work is correct.
• May perform testing of assembled product.
• Makeup cartons, print labels, insert protective packing material, and seal finishing product.
• Meet efficiency rates.
• Perform quality checks to ensure quality specifications are met.
• Work within all safety guidelines and wear all required PPE (steel toe shoes, hearing protection, and
• safety glasses).
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor or team leader.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition - 5S.
• Must be flexible to rotate job assignments within various work cells.
• Performs related duties as assigned by supervision

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1+ yrs of previous CNC experience preferred
